Coed y Gores Playground now open!

Coed y Gores Playground now open!

A new play area has been completed at Coed-y-Gores in Llanedeyrn for children aged 5-10 years old.

The play area was proposed by local elected members to provide a playground for children in the Coed-y-Gores / Round Wood area of Llanedeyrn.  It complements the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) which caters for older children, and the newly completed Llanedeyrn Hub.  As part of the scheme, a graffiti mural has been designed by local artist, Bryce Davies (Peaceful Protest), who worked with children at Llanedeyrn Primary School to develop the theme and design of the vibrant artwork which has been applied to the scheme’s retaining walls.

The play equipment is designed to make the best use of the varied levels and new retaining walls within the site, with a climbing slope and slide following the gradient of the hill, and a fireman’s pole adding play value to a retaining wall.
