Glenwood Environmental Improvement Scheme

Introduction

As part of Neighbourhood Regeneration’s Environmental Regeneration Programme, a proposal to improve the area in front of and behind Glenwood Stores (Glenwood Minimarket, CF23 6UR) are being taken forward.

Proposal

The proposed improvements are as follows:

  • Improved pavements to the front of Glenwood shop.
  • Additional trees and grassed areas.
  • New traffic bollards.
  • New cycle stands.
  • Decorative tree pits.
  • Additional parking bays

What's Happening Now?

Thank you to everyone who offered their comments and suggestions on the proposals.

We now have a revised plan (please see gallery below), following suggestions from residents. New elements include:

•        Handrail provision for the small steps, near the front of the shop.
•        Additional bollards near front of shop, following reports of cars parking on the

pavement.

The appointed contractor (Horan) will begin on the scheme on 11/11/19. It is anticipated that works will last around 5 weeks.

During this time a certain amount of disruption is likely to occur, however every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum.
